API 5L X70 BUTTWELD FITTINGS
API 5L X70 Buttweld fittings are ultra high-strength carbon steel piping components developed for critical, high-pressure and high-stress pipeline applications. Also known as L485 grade, these fittings offer a minimum yield strength of 70 Ksi (485 MPa) with superior toughness, weldability, and resistance to mechanical and environmental loading. They are manufactured in accordance with API 5L and ISO 3183 standards.
API 5L X70 buttweld fittings are extensively used in long-distance onshore and offshore oil & gas pipelines, high-pressure water and slurry transmission systems, petrochemical and refinery piping, and major power and infrastructure projects. The fittings are available in elbows, tees, reducers, caps, and stub ends across a wide range of sizes, wall thicknesses, and schedules.

Manufacturing Process
API 5L X70 buttweld fittings are manufactured from seamless or welded pipes using hot forming, cold forming, or machining processes. Heat treatment is applied as per PSL 1 or PSL 2 requirements to achieve the specified mechanical properties. All fittings are tested and inspected in accordance with API 5L and applicable dimensional standards.
