API 5L X65 Buttweld fittings are high-strength carbon steel piping components designed for demanding, high-pressure pipeline applications. Also referred to as L450 grade, these fittings provide a minimum yield strength of 65 Ksi (450 MPa) along with excellent toughness, weldability, and resistance to mechanical and environmental stresses. They are manufactured in accordance with API 5L and ISO 3183 standards.

API 5L X65 buttweld fittings are widely used in long-distance onshore and offshore oil & gas pipelines, high-pressure water transmission systems, petrochemical and refinery piping, as well as power generation and heavy engineering projects. These fittings are available in elbows, tees, reducers, caps, and stub ends across a broad range of sizes, wall thicknesses, and schedules.

Manufacturing Process

API 5L X65 buttweld fittings are manufactured from seamless or welded pipes using hot forming, cold forming, or machining processes. Heat treatment is applied as per PSL 1 or PSL 2 requirements to achieve the specified mechanical properties. All fittings are tested and inspected in accordance with API 5L and applicable dimensional standards.
